Arkema Announces Price Increase for Oxygenated Solvents

Increase is due to higher energy and raw materials costs.

Due to higher energy and raw materials costs, Arkema is forced to announce a price increase of €250 to €300 per ton on its oxygenated solvents effective March 1, 2017 or as contracts allow.   Diacétone Alcool (DAA), Méthyl IsoButylKétone (MIBK), MéthyI IsoButylCarbinol (MIBC), Mesityl Oxide (OM), Hexylene Glycol (HG), Hexasol et Isophorone (IPHO) are concerned.   Arkema’s oxygenated solvents are mainly used in formulations and synthesis in various applications such as fragrances, coatings, p...
